KLINCH Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 14, 2026

KLINCH ("KLINCH," "we," "us") is a Muay Thai combo training app operated by Nicholas Vallone. This policy explains what information KLINCH collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. KLINCH is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Information We Collect

When you create a KLINCH account and use the app, we collect:

We do not collect payment information (KLINCH does not currently process payments), and we do not use advertising trackers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to operate the app: authenticate you, save and sync your combos and practice history across sessions, run gym features (rosters, class plans, video sharing) for coaches and students, send you account-related emails (such as signup confirmation and password reset), and diagnose and fix bugs.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Camera, Recordings & Strike Analysis

Practice session recordings. If you choose to record yourself during a practice session, that recording is saved locally on your device — it is not automatically uploaded to our servers. You can save a recording to your device's Photos library at any time by tapping "Save to Photos," which is a separate, explicit action you control.

Coach-uploaded training videos. If you're a coach, videos you upload as training references are stored in our cloud storage and are visible to students in your gym.

Pose and movement analysis ("Strike Analysis"). If you use Strike Analysis on a recording, KLINCH extracts body-position data (the location of joints like your wrists, elbows, and knees) directly on your device, using Apple's on-device Vision framework. This processing happens locally on your phone — we do not upload your video or this raw position data to our servers as part of ordinary Strike Analysis.

Optional AI feedback sharing. While reviewing Strike Analysis results, you can optionally give feedback on individual detected strikes (for example, confirming a strike was judged correctly, or correcting its timing, side, or type). This sharing is off by default. If you turn it on (Profile → KLINCH AI), we store the numeric, pose-derived measurements for the strikes you give feedback on (such as joint angles and movement speed) along with your feedback — never your video and never the full raw skeleton — to help train and improve KLINCH's strike-judgment model for all users. You can turn this off at any time, which stops future feedback from being shared; it does not retroactively remove feedback already shared, though deleting your account removes it (see "Your Choices and Rights" below).

Third-Party Services

KLINCH relies on a small number of service providers to operate, each of which processes data on our behalf and only for that purpose:

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. We may also keep periodic backup copies of app data for a limited time for disaster-recovery purposes.

Your Choices and Rights

You can update your display name and appearance settings at any time from Profile. You can turn optional AI feedback sharing on or off at any time from Profile → KLINCH AI, and you can remove an individual piece of feedback you've shared directly from the strike it's attached to. You can permanently delete your account, including your personal combo library, session history, recordings, and any strike-analysis feedback you've shared, directly in the app (Profile → Danger Zone). If you own a gym, deleting your account does not delete the gym itself — it remains active for any other coaches or students, but you will no longer be its owner. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

For any other request regarding your data, contact us using the information below.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit and row-level access controls in our database so that, in general, users can only read and modify their own data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above.
